Fibroids (or leiomyoma or myomata) are the most common growth found in the womb. They resemble meatball like protrusions in the womb. Treatment is only needed when they cause symptoms.
The common cysts are functional menstrual cysts, blood cysts (or endometrioma) and tissue cysts (or dermoid teratoma). Surgery is advised when they are large and symptomatic.
Single Incision Laparoscopy or Single Port Surgery is the more advanced form of surgery. It is done with Just One Cut of 2-3cm at the belly button. Just One Cut, gives quicker recovery with a barely noticeable scar.
